We are committed to maintaining a trustworthy email delivery service that protects the interests of our users, their clients, and the broader email ecosystem.
2. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Due Agent for any of the following prohibited activities:
2.1 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Sending unsolicited bulk email ("spam") to recipients who have not opted in
- Sending emails to email lists purchased from third parties without prior express consent
- Harvesting email addresses from websites or other sources without consent
- Using fake or misleading sender information to disguise the origin of emails
- Sending multiple emails to the same address with minimal or no changes to circumvent filters
- Using Due Agent to send marketing emails unrelated to legitimate business invoicing
2.2 Harassment and Abuse
- Sending threatening, abusive, defamatory, or harassing emails
- Impersonating another person or organisation
- Using Due Agent to facilitate stalking or harassment
- Sending emails designed to intimidate or abuse recipients
2.3 Illegal Activity
- Using Due Agent to facilitate illegal activities, fraud, or deception
- Sending emails that contain malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Using the Service to violate applicable laws regarding commercial communications, privacy, data protection, or electronic messaging regulations
- Sending emails that promote or facilitate illegal goods or services
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to Due Agent systems or data
2.4 Misleading Content
- Sending emails with false or misleading subject lines designed to deceive recipients
- Using deceptive headers or metadata
- Falsifying invoice amounts, dates, or other payment details
- Misrepresenting the sender's identity or business relationship
2.5 Technical Abuse
- Attempting to bypass Due Agent's security measures or rate limits
- Overwhelming the Service with requests designed to disrupt normal operation
- Using automated tools to scrape or extract data without authorisation
- Accessing Due Agent's infrastructure without authorisation
- Reverse-engineering Due Agent's systems
2.6 Intellectual Property Violations
- Sending emails containing copyright infringing content
- Using Due Agent to distribute counterfeit goods or materials
- Violating trademark rights through email communications
2.7 Data Protection Violations
- Sending emails containing personal data of third parties without proper consent
- Using Due Agent to process personal data in violation of GDPR or UK GDPR
- Sending emails to individuals who have opted out or requested removal
- Failing to provide unsubscribe options for marketing communications
- Violating recipients' privacy rights or expectations
3. Acceptable Use Requirements
To ensure the integrity of Due Agent and the email ecosystem, you must adhere to the following requirements:
3.1 List Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact lists of legitimate clients
- Remove bouncing or invalid email addresses promptly
- Honour unsubscribe requests and opt-out preferences immediately
- Only send invoices and reminders to clients with whom you have a legitimate business relationship
- Implement a process to verify client contact information is accurate
3.2 Email Content Requirements
- Use clear and accurate sender identification that reflects your business
- Include accurate invoice information (amounts, dates, terms)
- Provide clear payment instructions and due dates
- Include legitimate business contact information in all emails
- Ensure all payment reminder content is professional and appropriate
- Include unsubscribe options for non-transactional marketing communications
3.3 Compliance Obligations
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR and UK GDPR
- Respect CAN-SPAM Act requirements (or equivalent) in all jurisdictions
- Honour Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) in the UK
- Maintain accurate business records and documentation
- Respond appropriately to complaints and unsubscribe requests
- Ensure you have proper consent and legal basis for sending each email
3.4 Rate Limits and Sending Practices
- Respect Due Agent's rate limiting policies to maintain service stability
- Space out bulk email sends appropriately to avoid overwhelming receiving servers
- Monitor bounce rates and address issues promptly
- Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or service restrictions
3.5 Monitoring and Abuse Prevention
- Monitor your email sending practices for signs of abuse
- Investigate and resolve complaints from recipients promptly
- Report suspected violations of this policy to Due Agent immediately
- Cooperate fully with Due Agent abuse investigations
4. Email Authentication Requirements
To improve email deliverability and security, we require users to implement email authentication protocols:
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Configure SPF records to authorise Due Agent as a legitimate sender for your domain
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Implement DKIM signing to verify email authenticity and integrity
- DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication): Configure DMARC policies to protect your domain from spoofing and phishing
These authentication measures improve deliverability, protect your domain reputation, and help prevent email fraud.
5. Enforcement and Consequences
Due Agent reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this policy. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may:
- Issue a warning and request immediate corrective action
- Temporarily restrict sending capabilities pending investigation
- Suspend or terminate your account without notice for severe violations
- Report violations to relevant authorities or affected parties
- Pursue legal action for serious breaches causing harm to Due Agent or third parties
- Require additional verification or authentication before restoring service
We may take immediate action without warning if we believe a violation poses an immediate risk to the service, users, or the broader email ecosystem. Account termination decisions are final.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you suspect another Due Agent user is violating this policy, please report it immediately:

Include details of the suspected violation, including email headers, sender information, and any evidence. We will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action while maintaining confidentiality.
7. Changes to This Policy
Due Agent reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service following the notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Minor changes such as clarifications or formatting updates may be made without notice. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
